Briefly: Jay Hernandez, who is best known for his genre performances in the likes of HOSTEL, and in TV shows Nashville and Friday Night Lights, has reportedly joined the cast of David Ayer’s DC villains movie SUICIDE SQUAD.
He joins the already cast Will Smith as Deadshot; Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn; Jai Courtney as Boomerang; Cara Delevingne as Enchantress; and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
The word is that Hernandez will play a fellow inmate to Jared Leto’s Joker, though that has not been officially confirmed.
Shooting kicks off over in Toronto in April for a summer 2016 release.
