With so many sequels, reboots and what else have you, there hasn’t been a lot of room for anything original in the upcoming blockbuster season. Also, with JUPITER ASCENDING presenting us with a lacklustre attempt, it may be even easier to try and sweep TOMORROWLAND under the rug but this second trailer has other plans. With Disney safe in terms of takings, thanks to the likes of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, CINDERELLA, and STAR WARS EPISODE VII: THE FORCE AWAKENS, it’s good to see them also doing something a bit different.
Brad Bird of THE INCREDIBLES and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL fame, directs Britt Robertson whose discovery of a strange pendant that shows her visions of an even stranger world leads her to George Clooney. Together they explore memories of the future, and with an astonishing visual style, this looks to be one for the biggest screen.
