Jeremy Renner’s ‘Knightfall’ To Light Up History

jeremy-renner-wallpaper

AVENGERS star Jeremy Renner is putting down his bow and arrow and picking up a producer’s sword for new drama Knightfall.

Based on chronicles of the Knights Templar, this grim-sounding pilot will start building toward the events of Friday the 13th 1307, when these legendary figures were burned at the stake and the jinx of that date became set in stone forevermore. The story of how they wound up there should be packed with the requisite amount of bone-crunching violence, sex and politics that characterizes today’s small screen historical sagas.

Renner co-created the idea with Don Handfield and Richard Rayner. History are of course the perfect network to help ride their white steeds past the much sought-after green light. A + E Studios and Midnight Radio join the band, alongside the actor’s own company The Combine, that he runs with Handfield. It’s unclear if Renner will take a role in front of the camera.
