Sure, we had the first trailer and look at STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON last month but here’s more for a vitally important biopic in both music and the lives of these true music legends.
Music has a power like no other and if you’re great, it can change the world around you in any way possible. N.W.A. were unlike anyone else and not only had a huge rise to fame but became the astonishing true story of influencing and revolutionising pop culture alongside their success. This wasn’t your standard tale though as in the mid 1980s Compton in California had some of the toughest streets in the USA. But then along came Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren and DJ Yella, who gave an explosive voice to a generation with brilliant, brutally honest music that rebelled against the abusive authority around them.

STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON is directed by F. Gary Gray. It stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E. It opens in the UK on August 14th.

It’s produced by original N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who are joined by fellow producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright. Will Packer serves as executive producer of the film alongside Gray and it’s written by Jonathan Herman, Andrea Berloff, and Sheldon Turner.
