Streaming service Netflix have acquired the rights to exclusively release the new Ricky Gervais comedy SPECIAL CORRESPONDENTS. The red-topped streamer will release the movie worldwide in 2016.
SPECIAL CORRESPONDENTS, according to Deadline who broke the story, ‘revolves around a struggling New York-based radio journalist whose arrogance and decadent lifestyle has hindered his career. With his job on the line, he fakes front-line war reports from the comfort of his hideout above a Spanish restaurant in the heart of Manhattan.’
Eric Bana will lead the movie with Gervais writing and directing.
