Pics: Michael Giacchino Scores ‘Jurassic World’

Excitement continues to build we pull closer to the release of Colin Trevorrow’s JURASSIC WORLD this summer, and here’s some brand new images from the sound decks deep within Hollywood where composer Michael Giacchino is hard at work laying down the score for the summer tentpole.

Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, as originally envisioned by John Hammond. After 10 years of operation and visitor rates declining, in order to fulfill a corporate mandate, a new attraction is created to re-spark visitor’s interest, which backfires horribly.

Giacchino, who has penned the soundtracks to the likes of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and the upcoming TOMORROWLAND, takes over musical duties on the franchise that kicked off with John Williams’ superb original score to JURASSSIC PARK back in 1993. While these images don’t reveal much more about the movie, it certainly helps build the anticipation for the June 11th release.
