Paul Feig’s BRIDESMAIDS did wonders for American female comedians. The comedy let a group of funny women take the lead and showed the likes of THE HANGOVER that sisters really could do it for themselves. The breakout star of the piece was Melissa McCarthy who, up until that point, was more well know as the sickly sweet best friend in The Gilmore Girls.
Capitalising on her success in BRIDESMAIDS the last few years have seen McCarthy throw herself into every and any comedy film going. Her latest venture is SPY, a comedy film about an intelligence agent who finds herself playing spy alongside big names like Jason Statham and Jude Law.
Ahead of it’s imminent release we have two snippets to share with you, our loyal THN followers. The first clip showcases British funny lady Miranda Hart’s Hollywood debut. The second sees an expletive laden Jason Staham get the lines of reality and fiction blurred as he eyes up using the ‘FACE/OFF’ machine.
