Yesterday, on perhaps the hottest day in the UK since records began, THN made the journey to East London to visit the capital’s newest film studio facility, Peacock Film Studios in Canning Town. I had the opportunity to catch up with owners Jonathan Sothcott, producer of recent action film Age Of Kill and We Still Kill The Old Way, and his business partner Billy Murray, who you’ll also recognise from huge roles on the classic television police drama The Bill and as Johnny Allen in Eastenders.
Jonathan and Billy gave me a tour of their brand new studio, and then spoke about their upcoming slate of movies which the new studio will facilitate in the coming months.

Jonathan Sothcott belongs in jail.
He is a notorious and hated conman. He has a 10 year track record ripping off Cast & Crews in the British Film Industries. There are 1000?s of people he owes money to and tries to strong arm and threaten those that speak up. He’s very good at taking films budget and using the cash to swan around London with glamour models and starlets partying the films budget away and posting Jet Set lifestyle photos on social media.
Now is is making a film with Jason Fleyming and Charlie Cox for £120,000 and has rookie Rod Smith as his producer. Although we have heard he is banned from the set. This is the fraction of the cost of a proper movie and we wonder how much of that Sothcott will steal?
We know of active Police and HMRC investigations into him and we are certain his time in court will come and he will be found guilty of fraud, theft and embezzlement.
