Frightfest closing film ‘Tales of Halloween’ gets first trailer

Next month London will host the 16th annual Frightfest, a four-day film festival filled to bursting with all the best in new horror films. With films catering to every kind of dark horrific taste, the festival is the best platform to experience what the horror genre has to offer. The festival, which starts on the evening of the 27th August, will come to a close with the next big horror anthology Tales of Halloween.

The film follows in the tradition of recent anthologies The A, B, C’s of Death and V/H/STales of Halloween is a series of gory stories interconnected by an overarching plot. Each story is directed by a different director and features its own self-contained plot line. Directors include Neil MarshallDarren Lynn Bousman, Mike Mendez and Paul Solet, whilst the cast includes Grace PhippsLin ShayeBarry BostickSam Witwer and John Landis.

Ahead of it’s première at American festival, Fantasia International Film Festival, a few members of the rather large ensemble cast and crew turned up at San Diego Comic Con to share the first trailer with the world:

Fans of Mike Mendez’s Big Ass Spider might be intrigued to know that actors Clare Krammer and Greg Grunberg will be reprising their roles for his segment, though we didn’t spy any giant arachnids in the above trailer.

With tales involving serial killers, goblins, axe murderers, demons and, from the looks of it, killer pumpkins, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.
