X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has revealed that an X-Men/ Fantastic Four crossover movie could be a ‘thing’ in the future.
“Those ideas are in play,” he said. “That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it.”
20th Century Fox have a big couple of weeks as they prepare to release Josh Trank‘s reboot of the Fantastic Four to screens. We’ve not heard much about the project in terms of early buzz, and we’re npt seeing the film until the week of release, so we’ll reserve judgement until then, but there’s obviously some positivity around the property judging by this cross-over news.
Singer is still shooting ‘Apocalypse’ over in Canada. Producer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg is involved with both movies, so could the next step be a tie-in? After all, ‘Apocalypse’ is going to be the final movie in the X-Men series that started in 2011 with X-Men First Class.
