Stephen Fry, Emma Bunton & Mel Giedroyc join ‘Rocky Horror’

Stephen Fry, Emma Bunton and Mel Giedroyc have joined the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show for a one-off charity gala performance in September.

They will join the iconic musical’s creator Richard O’Brien for the performance, which takes place at the Playhouse Theatre in London on September 17th. The three celebrities will each take the turn of playing The Narrator in the performance, which will also be beamed to cinemas around the globe. The one-off is in aid of Amnesty International.

Stephen Fry said: “I’ve been a devoted fan of The Rocky Horror Show for most of my life and I have been proud to support the incredible work of Amnesty International for just as long, so to be joining Richard and the cast on stage for this special evening is a dream come true.”

Emma Bunton added: “I am so excited about being involved in the legendary Rocky Horror Show. Richard O’Brien has written something that is a huge part of British culture. I’m looking forward to shaking my tush to the ‘Time Warp!'”

There will be eleven performances of the classic musical in all before it hits the road for a national tour starting at the Theatre Royal Brighton on 17 December 2015. The show tours until next August where it take a final bow at Glasgow’s Kings Theatre.
