War Of The Planet Of The Apes to star Gabriel Chavarria
War Of The Planet Of The Apes, the third film in the modern series of Planet Of The Apes movies has just cast Gabriel Chavvaria in the lead role.
East Los High actor Gabriel Chavarria will lead the cast of the sequel to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with Matt Reeves directing. According to Deadline, there will be just two human leads in the film, which is set to start filming in Vancouver in October. The blog likens Chavarria’s role to James Franco’s part in 2011’s Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.
There’s not a lot of other details on Chavarria’s role in War Of The Planet Of The Apes other than that.
Chavarria can currently be seen in the TV series Aquarius, and has also starred in shows like Freedom Riders, Teacher of the Year, Southland and Prime Suspect.
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, grossed $708M worldwide when it was released last year, and the next installment in the franchise is due in 2017. Andy Serkis is said to be returning to reprise his motion-captured role of Caesar.
