Vincent Cassel has been cast as the main villain in the fifth ‘Bourne’ movie over at Universal, so reports Variety. The film is set to go into production very soon, as it has a release date already set for July 29th if next year.
Cassel will join Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Julia Styles and Tommy Lee Jones in the sequel, which is said to see the French actor as an assassin on the trail of Jason Bourne.
Not much is known about the plot of the movie, but director Paul Greengrass, who returns to the franchise that he helped define, wrote the script with Christopher Rouse. Shooting is expected to take in locations in Greece and Las Vegas.
Cassel will next be seen in the upcoming Partisan, which will debut at this yea’s BFI London Film Festival.
