Interview: Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick and Simon Farnaby talk ‘Bill’

Earlier this week, I got a chance to sit down with Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick and Simon Farnaby (Horrible Histories), three superb actors who star in this weekend’s new family movie, Bill.

We’ll have a review hitting the website later today, but we can tell you that we absolutely loved it. Quite literally fun for all of the family, Bill is hilarious from start to finish.

Bill is set during Shakespeare’s “lost years” where he moves from obscurity in Stratford-upon-Avon to fame as a playwright in London. The film tells the ‘real story’ of what happens when hopeless lute player Bill Shakespeare leaves his family and home to follow his dream. It’s a tale of murderous kings, spies, lost loves, and a plot to blow up Queen Elizabeth I.
