Frightfest gets own label through Icon Film Distribution

Frightfest PosterThis year Frightfest turned sixteen and boy did they do it in style. They showcased 76 features over the event, but don’t worry if you weren’t able to make the event as now you can watch some of the cream of the crop in the comfort of your own living room.

That’s right Frightfest have paired up with Icon film Distribution, the guys behind The Guest and It Follows to create ‘Frightfest Presents’. Described as ‘an all-new expert driven social community-building label ready to deliver true shocks and scares straight into your home just in time for Halloween and beyond’.

From 19th October you will be able to download a series of movies that went down very well with the crowd and critics. The six films featured in what is being termed as Phase One have all been hand-picked by FrightFest directors Alan Jones and Paul McEvoy. They’ve picked an interested first six, three of which, The Sand, Some Kind of Hate and Night of the Living Deb, were featured on our very own films of the festival to watch.

The full list of Phase One films are; The SandEstrangedAfter DeathAaaaaaaaah!Night of the Living Deb and Some Kind of Hate.

With a name like Phase One it seems only wise to assume that there will be more to come, so Frightfest fans, what other gems should the label release?
