It has just been revealed that Sigourney Weaver will cameo in next year’s Ghostbusters reboot over at Sony Pictures. She is one of the last surviving original cast-members (save Rick Moranis) not to have confirmed to be cameoing in the Paul Feig-directed movie, but the filmmaker himself took to Twitter this morning to announce the news.
Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I’ll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!

There’s no mention as to who Weaver will play, but we’re 99% sure that she will be playing a brand new character, and not Dana/ The Gatekeeper from the original.
Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon play the new all-female Ghostbusters in Feig’s film, which enters cinemas next summer on July 15th.
So, Mr. Feig. Rick Moranis?
