The very first image from the production of Matt Reeves‘ War Of The Planet Of The Apes has just been released. The image, which is clearly captured on a beach with actor in full mo-cap gear (maybe Andy Serkis), was posted by the director to his official Twitter page yesterday.

WOTPOTA is the third movie in the new series which started with Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, and continued with last year’s Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, and will be released in 2017. The image above hints that we may be heading towards a setting that was used in one the original, classic 1968 movie. It’s very spoilerific, but click here if you want to see what we mean.
