The UAE has been growing as one of Hollywood’s hottest destinations to produce action movies and the new alpharooms.com From Hollywood With Love website shows just that. The desert also offers a wild and rugged terrain for epic chase scenes.
More and more companies are choosing to shoot action movies in the UAE and they are going a long way in putting it on the map as a modern and exciting destination.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
In 2011 Tom Cruise hung by his fingertips off the grand Burj Khalifa. This awesome action scene is one of the best to be shot in recent years and it took 23 days in Dubai with a crew of over 400 people on set.
Fast and The Furious 7
In the most recent Fast and the Furious movie, which was released this year, in honour of the recently departed Paul Walker, there were really great scenes shot at the Emirates Palace.
Syriana
This movie had a star-studded cast of Matt Damon and George Clooney and it was the movie that allowed George Clooney to take home his first ever Oscar for his supporting role. It was released in 2005 and although the scenes are meant to be in Iran, they were actually shot in Dubai.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
Michael Douglas and Shia La Beouf are the main characters in this sequel to the 1987 film, Wall Street.
The move mainly centres on the characters attempting to build up their empires again, while trying to recreate family connections.
The country chosen in which to shoot the film was unsurprisingly Dubai. The shots show the opulent and luxurious lifestyle that the main characters lead, which is almost emulated by those wealthy enough in Dubai society.
Star Wars
One of the most eagerly anticipated films in recent years was filmed in the UAE. Although it hasn’t been released yet, what we have seen of Star Wars: The Force Awakens has got us pretty excited.
The entire crew travelled to Abu Dhabi to shoot the film, where a massive set had been created and consisted of a spacecraft, market and huge tower.
The UAE has become one of the most sought after destinations to shoot action movies, and if the last few are anything to go by then we are bound to be seeing it a lot more in the future.
