ridley-scott-director

A few weeks ago the sequel to Prometheus was confirmed to have be retitled Alien: Paradise Lost by none other than Ridley Scott himself, but now the British director may have changed that title once again.

Speaking at the AFI Film Festival in the United States, Scott let slip of a completely different title for the project, which starts up shooting in February.

Scott started things off why speaking about his much applauded sci-fi movie The Martian.

“I was going to be doing what will be called Alien: Covenant, which starts shooting next February, and we were struggling then with the screenplay there and then there was a phone call, somebody saying, “Listen, we’ve got this thing which is completely written called Martian, and I said, huh. And I sped read it in an hour and by mid-afternoon, I talked to Fox and said, ‘I need to talk to ‘Drew [Goddard]…'”

So, Paradise Lost, a much preferred titled in my mind is out, and Covenant is in.

Shooting starts in Australia in February for a 2017 release.
