Original Gremlins star Zach Galligan is currently in London presenting screenings of Gremlins and Gremlins 2 across two nights at the famous Prince Charles Cinema just off London’s Leicester Square, and he’s also taken part in some entertaining Q&As.
The obvious subject of a new Gremlins film came up, which Galligan addressed. Looks like we might be in store for something different that what we expected; a straight reboot.
“It’s not going to be a reboot. It will not be a remake in any way, shape or form”, Galligan said to a welcoming audience. “Chris Columbus has come out and said that the first film is very near and dear to his heart and as long as he is alive it will never be remade”.
Following the success of Jurassic World this summer, that film will apparently be set 30 years after the original outbreak of little green Gremlins, and Galligan will probably be in it.
