Frightfest Presents announce second wave release titles

The Lesson

Back in October you’ll remember the site was full of all things Frightfest Presents, the venture is a new joint venture between the Frightfest film festival organizers and Icon Film Distribution. In a nutshell it’s a digital download platform that caters entirely to films hand selected by Paul McAvoy and Alan Jones the directors of Frightfest.

We spoke to Alan back in October for the first wave of films (The SandAaaaaaaah!EstrangedSome Kind of HateAfterdeath, and Night of the Living Deb) where he teased, but could not confirm, the second batch. Now though we are in a position to share the titles that will make up the next wave of horror, they are The LessonLast Girl StandingLandmine Goes ClickCurtain, The Unfolding and Emelie.

It’s an interesting selection which features two of our picks of the festival which took place over the August bank holiday (The Lesson and Landmine Goes Click). Speaking about the new titles Alan explained the reasons behind these new choices:

Our initial slate set out the stall of what FrightFest Presents is all about and got the brand off to a flying start thanks to its diversity and ability to deliver the shocking goods for genre lovers. Now we are building on that strong foundation with six more unmissable titles that once more shines a light on our market uniqueness and ambition to build a catalogue of first class chillers that is second to none.

Sadly you have a little wait until you get your eyeballs around the new movies as the films have a staggered release date starting on 29th February with two new titles added each week. The full release schedule is thus:
