We attended the press conference for Star Wars: The Force Awakens in London earlier today. Most of the cast were there, including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, but it was Ford that attracted the most attention when he was asked about the stand-alone Han Solo movie that is being developed by Lucasfilm for release in 2018.
Here’s what Ford had to say.
“As far as the movie featuring a young Han Solo. I don’t know what to think about that. I’m glad that somebody else is is going to have the burden of being young. It’s well beyond my understanding or control and I personally want nothing to do with it, in the nicest possible way. I know it will be well done and well guided. And, um, it’s nothing to do with me.”
