The trailer for Alan Rickman‘s final on-screen role has been released. The film, titled Eye In The Sky, also stars Helen Mirren and Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, and hits U.S. cinemas in March, and UK cinemas in April.
Here’s the synopsis:
EYE IN THE SKY stars Helen Mirren as Colonel Katherine Powell, a UK-based military officer in command of a top-secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya. Through remote surveillance and on-the-ground intel, Powell discovers that the targets are planning a suicide bombing, and the mission escalates from “capture” to “kill.” But as American pilot Steve Watts (Aaron Paul) is about to engage, a nine-year old girl enters the kill zone, triggering an international dispute reaching the highest levels of US and British government over the moral, political, and personal implications of modern warfare.
Expect this Stateside on March 11th, and in the UK on April 8th, 2016.
Rickman sadly passed away last week at the age of just 69. Eye In The Sky is actually his penultimate movie role; he will be heard as the Blue Caterpillar in Disney’s Alice Through The Looking Glass later in the year.
