First of all, it has ridiculously great casting in the shape of Tina Fey, Margot Robbie and Martin Freeman. Secondly, this red band trailer gives us a good glimpse at the mix of realistic comedy and drama elements and thirdly, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (WTF!) has all the right elements of something fresh.

From a screenplay by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-creator Robert Carlock and directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy Stupid Love), which you should go seek if you haven’t already, their new film Whiskey Tango Foxtrot sees Tina Fey plays Kim Barker, a journalist who decides to take her career in a different direction but in this instance… it’s a trip for some wartime coverage in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
This is the first look for me and I’m up for it, it’ll also be interesting to see how Martin Freeman gets on with a whole new accent and something different again. If you’re throwing in star of the moment Margot Robbie and Tina Fey, then this is something I definitely want to check out.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot opens on April 22nd.
