Following the success of his turn as the title character in Creed, Michael B. Jordan is set to lead a remake of the 1968 Steve McQueen movie The Thomas Crown Affair. The film has, of course, already been remade with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo in 1999, but that’s not going to stop MGM pressing ahead with another.
Obviously Jordan will be playing the McQueen/ Brosnan role, a playboy who steals priceless artwork, who finally meets his match in a beautiful detective.
The word is that the project may take a while to get off the ground with Jordan currently being the only character attached. For that reason, we’ll probably see the actor strapping on the boxing gloves for Creed 2 before he toplines the ‘Crown’ remake.
