This Sunday evening sees this year’s Oscars dished out in a lavish ceremony in the heart of Hollywood. We’ve assembled all of the main lists of this year’s nominees, leaving out the short film categories (as we haven’t seen any of them), and then listed who will win, and also who should win. The two are very different.
We’ve based our choices on the numerous awards ceremonies that have taken place in the run up to the Oscars, and their winners, as well as Twitter buzz, fan reception and even upon conversations we’ve had amongst our peers in the industry. We may not we right, but this is the list of nominees who we think will hit gold on Sunday night.
So, without further ado, here are our choices for 2016.
The Academy Awards will take place in Hollywood on Sunday night with Chris Rock presenting. We will be live-tweeting and live-blogging the proceedings, so keep it THN here, or on Twitter for the latest updates.

Oh please no, Gaga absolutely can’t win! Not only is her music awful, she couldn’t be sophisticated no matter how hard she tried. She was a fad of the late ’00s and early 2010s, she shouldn’t even have been nominated.
