With the next Divergent movie, Allegiant, in cinemas next week, news has just reached us that a director the final film in the series has just been found.
Robert Schwentke, who has directed all of he movies up until now, announced that he wouldn’t be directing the final film, and up until now the director’s chair had been left vacant. Well, now Variety are reporting that Age of Adaline director Lee Toland Krieger will helm the fourth and final film in the series, The Divergent Series: Ascendant, for Lionsgate.
The series is quite a lucrative one for the studio, with the first two movies bagging over $580 million at the global box-office.
Shailene Woodley, Miles Teller, Theo James and Naomi Watts star in the forthcoming sequel, which hits UK cinemas on March 10th.
