Star Wars

According to The Sun newspaper in the UK, Lucasfilm and Disney are in talks to bring no less than five more Star Wars movies to screens after the first six have been released. We’ve already had Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and two more trilogy instalments and three stand-alone movies are due before 2020, but the newspaper says that the studio are reportedly planning two more trilogy instalments and three more stand-alones post 2020.

Solo flicks for Jedi Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu are among the ideas.

The next Star Wars saga movie, Star Wars Episode VIII has literally just started production, and Gareth Edwards will release the first stand-alone ‘Star Wars Story’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story this December. A Han Solo film is planned for 2018, followed by Episode 9 in 2019, and then the final stand-alone Star Wars movie for this decade in 2020. Then they will begin work on the second wave of Star Wars movies, possibly featuring the characters listed above.

Ewan McGregor and Samuel L. Jackson better stand by their phones.
