Has Your Favourite CW Show Been Renewed? Find Out Now

CW

The CW is a network that has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The network has more than a few hits on its schedule with shows like ArrowThe Vampire Diaries and The 100 being ratings winners, not only in the US, but also on countless channels around the world.

With the shows all being such big fan favourites this is always a nervous making time of year for audiences as they wait to hear the fate of their beloved programmes. Thankfully the wait is over and we can reveal the fates of several high-profile CW shows which have all received an early renewal.

All three of The CW’s DC shows are safe. It’s of little surprise that the superhero contingent of programmes have been renewed. The Flash and Arrow are the top two shows for the network and have been equally successful for Sky in the UK, and despite being in its infancy, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has already claimed spot number three over at The CW.

With a twelfth season green-lit Supernatural now becomes the longest running fictional television series for the network. The show, which focusses on demon-hunting brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, has had a bit of a rough ride finding its forever home in the UK. It started life on ITV2 before moving to Sky Living. When the latter dropped the show, fans had an agonising year-long wait before E4 stepped in to save the day. The CW definitely seems certain that it’s worth investing in though and the series has now taken the longest running crown from former holder 7th Heaven, the show that launched Jessica Biel.

The full list shows saved are; The Flash, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, iZombie, Reign, Supernatural, and The 100.

So basically all of the big shows aren’t going anywhere, anytime soon. Phew.
