Some breaking news from Disney and Lucasfilm now as it has been revealed that both Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg have signed on to star in and direct a fifth Indiana Jones movie. The film already has a release date, which will be July, 2019.
“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Alan Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
Spielberg has directed every single one of the four Indy movies that have been release over that past 25 years or so, the last of which was Indiana Jones and the Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull.
Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall will produce for the studio. What do we think?
