Lego Batman Movie poster: Will Arnett gives us our first look on Twitter.
The first Lego Batman Movie poster has been revealed on Twitter by the film’s vocal lead, Will Arnett. The poster comes after this morning’s debut of the first images from The Lego Batman Movie, which you can see over here.
The film is set for release in 2017, and will be a spin-off from the poplar Christopher Miller and Phil Lord directed The Lego Movie, which was released a couple of years back. The duo produce this new spin-off with Chris McKay taking over the directing duties. McKay comes from working on The Lego Movie (he was the film’s editor), and directing episodes of the hugely popular Robot Chicken TV series.
The Lego Batman Movie poster comes as we await the debut of the first trailer, which we’re told is imminent. Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes, and Michael Cera also lend their voices to the new movie.
As The Lego Batman Movie poster hit Twitter, USA Today also ran an interview with Arnett about the new film. The actor commented on the famous Batcave, and what we expect see in the animated movie.
“The Batcave is even better than we remembered it, it’s awesome. But I also love getting into the ho-hum day-to-day of being Batman and what it’s like to fight crime each day. Like the idea of Batman oversleeping his alarm clock makes me laugh. It really does humanize him.”
The Lego Batman Movie won’t be the next taste of Batman on the big-screen though. This week’s huge release, Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, premieres in London this evening ahead of its debut in cinemas from Friday 25th March, 2016.
The Lego Batman Movie hits cinemas on February 10th, 2017. Check back for more news as we get it, including that all important first trailer.
