Thor Star Lord Infinity War news: Both characters could be in the next Avengers movie.
Thor and Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Star Lord have apparently been confirmed for the next Avengers movie Infinity War. Read on for the Thor Star Lord Infinity War news.
According to ComicBookMovie.com, both Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth and Star Lord (Chris Pratt) are set to be in Avengers: Infinity War. The directors of the film, Joe and Anthony Russo, spoke with the website at a press day recently, where they spoke up the next chapter in the Avengers story, which will be split into two parts.
Anthony Russo said:
“The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done,” he said. “[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited,” he continued.
Joe Russo added to the conversation:
“I’m excited to work with Thor,” Joe Russo said. “They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”
So, while not an official confirmation, this is certainly interesting and while they may not be a major part of Infinity War, they should at least make an appearance… Ragnarok is of course the next Thor movie which should start shooting soon for an October, 2017 release date. Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are set for release May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019. The next official Marvel movie to hit screens is Captain America: Civil War, which debuts in the U.K. on April 29th, 2016.
