A sequel to last year’s Goosebumps is on the way from Sony Pictures.
The news was announced late yesterday. Both Rob Letterman (Shark Tale, Monsters vs. Aliens) and screenwriter Darren Lemke (Turbo) will return for Goosebumps 2, so says The Hollywood Reporter. The first film was a pretty decent success for the studio, and pulled in $80 million domesticall from a $57 million budget. It also took another $77 million worldwide.
According to the trade, Jack Black, who led the first movie as R.L. Stine (the books’ author), is expected to return for the sequel.
