According to a website that we respect, the quite awesome Bloody Disgusting, Zombieland 2 could begin shooting as early as this summer.
The genre website reports that numerous casting website have put out calls for a summer shoot in Atlanta. Dave Callaham is writing the sequel, while Ruben Fleischer, will return to direct.

After a virus turns most people into zombies, the world’s surviving humans remain locked in an ongoing battle against the hungry undead. Four survivors — Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and his cohorts Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) — abide by a list of survival rules and zombie-killing strategies as they make their way toward a rumored safe haven in Los Angeles.
We don’t know if any of the cast will return for the sequel (those being the brilliant Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin), but we’re sure that at least some of them will be involved.
The original film grossed over $100 million back in 2009, and spawned a short-lived TV series over on Amazon. More as we get it.
