The huge summer hit that is Captain America: Civil War finally hits U.S. cinemas this week, and directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are still out there promoting the movie before they turn to their next project, the massive double header that is Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II.
In surprising news, Joe Russo has revealed that the duo and the studio are looking to retitle for the forthcoming sequels – they just haven’t got around to it yet.
“The intention is we will change it,” Joe Russo told Uproxx. “We just haven’t come up with the titles yet. But, yes, we will change it. And, yes, that is a scoop: we will retitle them.”
Interesting. Names being bundled around already include Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Crusade, Infinity Abyss, and even just Infinity.
The films are due for release on May 4, 2018, and May 3, 2019, so they’ve got a bit of time.
