New ‘Predator’ Movie will Arrive Slightly Sooner than Expected…

Predator-1024x554

This week sees Shane Black‘s The Nice Guys arrive in UK cinemas. The film is another solid production from Black and stars heavyweight actors Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling in the 70’s set crime caper. What has had us really excited in recent months though is the news that Black is hard at work on a new Predator movie.

Black starred in the 1980’s sci-fi, horror classic as Hawkins, the foul-mouthed joker of Arnie’s Commando team. He will now return to the franchise as writer and director. He’s not spoken too much about the project but has promised that it’ll be much more of a sequel than a dreaded reboot.

Whilst detail are sketchy at the moment we do know that the film has had a release date upgrade. Originally touted as a release date of 2nd March 2018, the film will now arrive on 9th February 2018. This places the film as releasing right around Valentine’s Day, a release week that has proved very successful the last couple of years, just see Fifty Shades of Grey and Deadpool for proof.

We at team THN are big fans of the original film and will of course keep you updated as more details start to emerge.

The Predator, directed by Shane Black, will now arrive in cinemas from 9th February 2018.
