Dinosaur fans can look to expect many more monstrous treats soon, as recent rumours have surfaced that suggest that we could be seeing a sequel to Jurassic World in just a couple of years.
The 2015 movie made over $1.6 billion in global box office, and Universal Pictures will be hoping that a follow-up will earn them even more cinematic gold alongside its successful adaptations in the realm of online gaming.
Much of the anticipation stems from a sneak preview of a portion of the upcoming movie poster on the Jurassic World official Twitter account. This cryptic poster reveals that the series may be rebranded with a new name, and already the internet is buzzing with rumours as to what we can expect.
What we do know is that the actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt will be returning to the series, but it’s the fact that the Spanish film-maker J.A. Bayona will be in the director’s chair that’s causing the greatest amount of headlines.
Bayona has already created an enviable movie-making reputation thanks to his chilling movie, The Orphanage. And it’s thought that his horror heritage could help expand the reach of the franchise to a whole new audience.
Already we’ve seen the likes of Netflix getting in on the action by featuring the original movie in its streaming line-up for the summer. And in terms of getting to grips with Jurassic Park gaming, head over to the Mr Smith Casino site as this is where it all starts with their highly-playable Jurassic Park slots game that offers plenty of dinosaur-based fun with some equally fearsome winnings to be had!
And although the casino games may provide some eye-opening entertainment, there are also some treats for music fans as we will we also see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra playing the original score of the 1993 blockbuster at a screening of the movie at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November.
As the release date for the upcoming movie has been set for way off in June 2018, fans will have to resort to scouring the internet for nuggets of information regarding the future release.
Already The Vine Report has stated that the film will feature dinosaurs as a crime-fighting army that are capable of taking down crime lords and drug barons. And if that sounds bizarre, then rumours that the entire franchise will be rewritten to cater for evermore intense dinosaur action promise to deliver what could be the most hard-hitting prehistoric epic yet!
