‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ adds two more: Martin Starr & Logan Marshall-Green join

gilfoyle-1024

Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man pretty much stole Captain America: Civil War from under the pre-established heavyweights. His Spider-Man mark 3 may actually be a case of third time lucky and now all eyes are on the standalone film. The project is still in the casting stages and some very interesting choices are being made. Michael Keaton was in, then out and is now in again, as is Donald Glover; then last night the production gained two more players…

Logan Marshall-Green, most recently seen in The Invitation, but known more famously for his turns on Prometheus and The OC, is set to be playing a potential protagonist. The rumour mill has Keaton pegged as the main ‘big bad’ but Marshall-Green looks likely to be providing Keaton with back-up. Will the duo defeat Spidey? Going by comic lore, probably not.

Also just announced for the film is Silicon Valley‘s Martin Starr. We spoke to Martin only a couple of weeks ago and think he’ll be a great addition, especially if he’s in a comedic support role. News revealing his role has not been forthcoming, but some signs are pointing to a non-comic book character.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will arrive in cinemas on 28th July 2017.
