The redo of Stephen King’s ‘It’ has kicked off production

The new adaptation of Stephen King’s It has kicked off production. The film, which will see Bill Skarsgard is playing the role of Pennywise the clown in the redo.

Andy Muschietti (Mama) is directing the new version, and posted the first set image on his Instagram page. Jaeden Lieberher stars as Bill Denbrough in the new production, alongside Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Jack Dylan Grazer as Stan Uris, Wyatt Oleff as Eddie Kaspbrak, Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom.

The story will be split into two parts with part one focusing on the group of teens called the Losers Club, while Part Two is set around the repercussions on these characters as adults. Part one will debut in September 2017.

It is based on the 1986 novel by Stephen King, and follows the exploits of seven children as they are terrorized by the eponymous being, which exploits the fears and phobias of its victims in order to disguise itself while hunting its prey.
