Netflix and The CW sign deal to bring exciting titles to platform

Netflix and The CW network in the United States have signed a deal to bring an exciting slate of titles to the streaming service. This is exciting news for the domestic territory as The CW own the rights to a bunch of properties that will soon be joining Netflix to stream just days after their initial broadcast.

They include Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Vampire Diaries, The 100, iZombie, The Originals and Reign along with the upcoming Frequency, No Tomorrow and Riverdale.

The new agreement begins with the 2015-2016 broadcast season, and from the start of the upcoming 2016-2017 season, Netflix members will be able to stream full seasons for each of these programs starting just eight days after each show’s season finale. Wow.

What that means for the UK is probably very little as licenses to screen most of the above shows lie elsewhere, but it’s still great news for the ever expanding Netflix and its growing library of titles.
