They left us on a bit of cliffhanger last season – well, that’s a bit of an understatement, but there’s not long to go until everyone’s favourite TV show returns. To raise your anticipation through the roof, we can now reveal the first official Walking Dead season 7 pic with you.

So, who did Jeffrey Dean Morgan‘s Negan take out? We’re expecting the very first teaser trailer for the new series to be unleashed at the show’s annual appearance at the San Diego Comic Con next Friday, and we’re hoping and praying that it’ll pop up online shortly afterwards.

One thing that we do know is that we’ll be seeing more and more of Negan in the new series as it has been revealed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan has secured himself a recurring role. Producer Greg Nicotero has been speaking with Entertainment Weekly where he revealed that there are plenty more rants from the bad guy on the way.

“Negan is that kind of guy,” says Nicotero. “He’s the kind of guy who imagines himself on stage at a high school production and he loves every second of it. So, I don’t really see a lot of quiet contemplative moments with Negan. I feel like with Negan it’s really going to be about him gesticulating and him sort of relishing in the sound of his own voice while he commands the stage in front of whoever’s alive.”
