Flatliners set pics: Remake of the 1990 movie about medical students who take themselves to the brink of death appear online

It has only just started shooting, but there are already some Flatliners set pics hitting the net. Based on the 1990 movie of the same name which starred Kiefer Sutherland and Julia Roberts, Flatliners revolves around a group of medical students who begin to explore the realm of near death experiences, hoping for insights.
The original was directed by Joel Schumacher, though the in-production remake is being helmed by Niels Arden Oplev, the filmmaker responsible for the original version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo starring Noomi Rapace.
Ben Ripley, who wrote Source Code, is penning the screenplay for the redo.
Here’s the plot synopsis for the original.
A group of young medical students, lead by Sutherland’s character, embark on self-experiments which involve temporarily “killing” each other by injection of a heart-stopping chemical and then resuscitating one another “back to life.” The idea is to discover what happens when we die; you know, to find out “where does the “soul” go?” Sutherland plays a mad scientist, genius enough to convince his cohorts to follow him on this crazy-train, but bright enough to pull it off.
The Flatliners set pics clearly show Diego Luna and Nina Dobrev, two of the main cast members who will also be joined by the likes of Ellen Page, Kiersey Clemons, James Horton and even Kiefer Sutherland himself.
