Fantastic Four: Miles Teller is up for more movies

Fantastic Four 2

It may have suffered an absolute mauling in cinemas, but one of the stars of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four has been quoting in saying that he would be up for another crack at the franchise. Miles Teller, who stars in this month’s War Dogs, from writer/ director Todd Phillips, was asked if he would be up for reprising his role as Reed Richards if the situation presented itself.

“Yeah, for sure. I loved the cast, I loved the characters,” he told Joblo.com. “I think it’s such an interesting dynamic. I love how much they really need to rely on each other. This Avengers thing, they’ve kind of created their own Fantastic Four in a way, Marvel’s first family. Their powers can’t just exist on their own, you need Thor to do this, the Hulk to do his thing. So yeah, absolutely, I would do another one.”

Interesting comments. The critics response, including our own, wasn’t great. Personally, I think Fox should go the route that Sony have with Spider-Man: Homecoming and unite with Marvel Studios to develop the franchise. Maybe they will? Who knows. As for Teller, he has a busy slate himself. As well as War Dogs, he also has the boxing drama Bleed For This, which is due later this year. Then there’s also The Divergent Series: Ascendant, which as far as we know is to be TV bound, and potentially as a TV series.

No official word from 20th Century Fox on what they are planning to do with the Fantastic Four franchise, but we’ll keep you updated.
