The show is written by The Expendables‘ Dave Callaham and according to The Hollywood Reporter, will see Van Damme as a version of himself — a famous actor and martial-arts pro who comes out of retirement to resume his alter-ego: an undercover private contractor by the name of Jean-Claude Van Johnson.

Kat Foster, Moises Arias and Phylicia Rashad also star in Jean Claude Van Johnson, which is executive produced by Peter Atencio, Ridley Scott , David W. Zucker  and Van Damme himself. The pilot is directed by Atencio.

Accompanying the pilot are other indeed other pilots that include I Love Dick, starring Kathryn Hahn and The Tick with British actor and comedian Peter Serafinowicz. They all hit the prime service on Friday where viewers will be invited to vote on which one will become a full TV series on the streaming platform.
