Jon Favreau returns as Happy in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Jon Favreau is returning to the Marvel franchise. The actor/ filmmaker will reprise his role of Harold ‘Happy’ Hogan in Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is currently shooting in Atlanta.

He will join the already cast Tom Holland, who plays the title character, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Zendaya and Tony Revolori.

John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Vacation) wrote the script for the new film While Jon Watts (Cop Car) directs.

Favreau’s last project was The Jungle Book, a $900 million behemoth that he directed for Disney, a sequel for which is already in the works.

Favreau’s Happy Hogan, Tony Stark’s personal driver, was last seen in Iron Man 3. Favreau also, of course, directed the first two Iron Man movies in the the current series.
