There are a massive amount of blockbuster movies on the horizon, meaning that 2017 is shaping up to be a year to remember for all cinemagoers. Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2
After the runaway success of the first movie, GOTG Vol. 2 makes its return to the big screen. With the cast members all returning from the original movie, this promises to be bigger, badder and even more fun than the first movie.
Loosely, this movie is set two months after the events of the first, with the team searching out more details on Peter Quill’s parentage. Justice League

Without doubt, there will be an immense amount of spectacle and destruction displayed, as these heroes attempt to save the world once more.
War For the Planet of The Apes
Stepping away from the Superhero movies (of which, there are an absolute ton of due for release in 2017), War for the Planet of The Apes furthers the story of Cesar. The plot is being kept a tightly kept secret, and not even true fans of the first movie could forecast the outcome of what’s going to happen.
Unleashing in July 2017, this movie has the potential to be huge – could it be the biggest of 2017?
Kong: Skull Island
Making a welcome return to the screen, King Kong is rebooting with an all-star cast. Michael Keaton and Tom Hiddleston star in this massive retelling of the classic monster story. Coming March 2017, this movie could beat previous sales records.
Beauty & The Beast
Starring Emma Watson, this live action retelling of the age-old fairy tale hopes to replicate the success that Cinderella had on the big screen. The original music has promised to return, while new instant classic tunes are being introduced in a bid to delight a whole new audience.
Fast 8
The always-popular Fast & Furious series returns for its 8th installment. Whether or not this one was possible without Paul Walker was debatable, but nonetheless, Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel and other series regulars will make their returns once more for Fast 8. Expect more of the same fast cars, chases, and everything else you’ve come to expect from this blockbuster.
Those are just some of the big movies that are scheduled for release in 2017. And while it seems like it’s going to be a huge year for Superhero movies, there are also plenty more big movies in other genres that are expected to wow audiences.
