Just last night, the TV Oscars, the Emmys were dished out in a lavish ceremony in Los Angeles. Game of Thrones was the big winner on the night, once again, bagging the top drama prize for the second year in a row (the show’s total number of awards now stands at 38), while Veep did the same in the comedy award. Mr Robot, Orphan Black and even Downton Abbey also received gongs, including one for our own Dame Maggie Smith. She picked up the award for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series, playing Violet Crawley in the show.
