The next big Marvel TV series The Punisher has started filming. We’ve already seen Jon Bernthal as Franck Castle in the second season of Daredevil, but the iconic Marvel character will get his own show sometime in the near future.
Bernthal has been spotted with quite the beard on the streets of New York filming some early scenes from the Netflix-based project. While the photos aren’t too exciting – Bernthal can just be seen carrying a bag – they do give us an idea of how his character of Frank Castle will look in the upcoming 10-part series.

We’re expecting this one to hit the streaming service in 2017 now that these images clearly show that shooting has well and truly kicked off. Ben Barnes (The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian) will also have a recurring character in the show which is one of four big Marvel properties to screen on Netflix, the others being Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Luke Cage, whose debut season aired just last Friday. All four are also set to unite for Marvel’s The Defenders sometime in the future.
