Believe us, Moonlight really is one of the best films of the year. Segregated into three distinct chapters, the film follows the character of Chiron during three very specific times in his life as he journeys from childhood, into adolescence and then into adulthood in a very rough area of Miami whilst struggling with his own sexual identity.
The multi-layered film is virtually flawless in every way, and it received its UK debut at the BFI London Film Festival in the capital last night.
