Looking down at my watch indicates that there are about 36 days until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story finally arrives in cinemas. Gareth Edwards is putting the final touches to the very first spin-off Star Wars movie, which will be in cinemas on December 15th. Ahead of the release we have some new Rogue One posters to share with you – international ones at that – and they are simply delicious.
In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.

A rogue band of resistance fighters unite to steal the Death Star plans and bring new hope to the galaxy. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” takes place before the events of “Star Wars: A New Hope” and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed and Valene Kane. Gareth Edwards directs from a screenplay from Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta.
The film is a bridge between The Force Awakens and the forthcoming Star Wars Episode VIII, which arrives next Christmas. Rogue One is a stand-alone story which will be set right before the events of A New Hope.
